These are my favorite Christmas cartoons/claymations
  1. Twas the Night before Christmas (1974)
A Rankin/Bass Production

Starring George Gobel and Joel Grey

Clocks, mice and too much education.
  1. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
The only bible lesson that ever took was Linus’ sermon. No war.
  1. The Bear who slept through Christmas (1973)
Starring Tommy Smothers, Barbara Feldon and Arte Johnson. Narrated by Casey Kasem.

Seems to have been forgotten by many. I remember seeing in the late 1970′s on the ABC affiliate in Syracuse, NY. Best cast in Christmas entertainment anywhere.
  1. Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer (1964)
Starring Burl Ives

“Pull up an iceberg and lend an ear.”

This is all about unions and stuff.

  1. Little Drummer Boy (1968)
Another Rankin/Bass Production.

Rankin/Bass is the mark of quality in Christmas programming. I saw this on Christmas Eve 1978 in Hamilton, NY. It started at 9 pm. The snow started at that time as well. The programme ended at 9:30 pm but they snow ended 36 inches later at 9 a.m. Christmas Day.

Time, I absolve myself of your vow to vanquish me.
